It features a weather-resistant poly hopper that can be filled with your preferred ice melt, halite, or small particulates. The hopper is supported on a powder-coated steel frame and includes an ergonomically designed bail system and U-shaped flip-up handle for easy operation season after season. The spreader also has baffles that can be adjusted for edge control and pneumatic tires to handle uneven ground.

The unit is not recommended for use with rock salt, sand, or sand mixes. It includes a spiked auger to help break up clumps and keep the ice melt moving freely. Made in the USA with global materials, it is backed by Chapin's 2-year limited warranty.
